There are times when I can't remember some of the little/easy things because my head is overloaded with the more difficult details.

So...what I do is mark the correct lugs with red (positive) and black (GND) markers. I never use batteries, so the switch lug is always left open.

I don't have to look up a reference to be sure because they are color coded. Kind of dummy proof.  :icon_lol:
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

you might run outta red wire one day, and pick up green instead. then what?

you have to mark the unused lug, so you won't be tempted. mark it batt+ or switched, or leave-this-bloody-alone, if you can fit it. the others can be DC+ and DC-. I use that because I call it B+ once it's passed the series protection diode. that way your schematic will match your mechanical drawings.

If batteries are a no go you can use the much smaller, unswitched power jacks. Use to be difficult to source but now many are stocking them.

Yeah Dave..

I've been eyeballing those.

I think as soon as I run out of my stock of the others, I'll have to make the switch. Or should I say lose the switch?  :icon_wink:
