Buffered volume pedal lose sweep

So I just built a buffer circuit into an Ernie ball VP jr and it works and sounds great. However, I seem to have lost a lot of the sweep and the pedal functions with more of an on/off type deal than real volume pedal sweep. Any idea why this is happening? Is there any way to correct the sweep to be more drawn out along the full length of the pot?

No way to tell without knowing *exactly* what and how you hooked it up - a schematic in other words.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Shoot yeah sorry, forgot that. I used this buffer circuit http://www.muzique.com/lab/splitter.htm with one output going to the tuner out and another output going to the VP jr's pot and then to the output jack. Was I correct to put the buffer before the volume pot, or should it go after?
