Yes they're much better values, I had to buy an extra pack of 470K from somewhere and can't understand why they would be omitted.  It would still be nice if you could choose your own values like with some of the 1/4W sellers though, some of the low values are still pretty pointless for us. but at that price I can't complain too much.

I have had a seller that offers 1/8W resistors saved on my ebay for quite some time now.

I've been meaning to "pull the trigger" and switch over to 1/8W since I always shrink my builds.

I'm just not ready to go SMD! I'm afraid of the unknown!  :icon_eek:
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

I wish I could find somewhere I could buy 1/8th watt resistors, they seem impossible to find in the UK or even Europe :(

You could try Farnell?

Ohm's Law - much like Coles Law, but with less cabbage...

not in england, but they might ship. probably much more expensive, too, but here it is anyway. 1/4 watt, but the size of 1/8 watt! amaze your friends! I've had the remnants of a pack of these for about 20 years.

Nice!!  When you first start, the 1/4's seem really small.   Then, you start building phasers and such, and everything is FAR too big for the board!!    Esp. radial lead caps...

What is the wattage rating on those teensy SMD resistors we'll find on pretty much every EHX, MXR, LIne 6, Strymon, and Boss pedal these days?

I have a TC Nova Drive over for repair that has what looks to be the standard size you're referring to.

The resistors measure 2 X 1.25 which looks to be 1/10th to 1/8W.

My Egnator Rebel uses all 1/8 watt or lower resistors everywhere except the plates and power rail.  :icon_eek:
Not to mention the cheapest caps they could probably get, which is how I got it,the caps in the power rail were shot, some exploded.
I fixed it and got it working but they really should have used a bigger chassis and better caps and resistors for a 500$ single channel amp.
I'm no EE or even a tech, just a monkey with a soldering iron that can read, and follow instructions. ;D

If you happen to be building tube circuits and use surface mount resistors, note that some have voltage ratings of 200 or 250 volts regardless of the wattage.  Power isn't the only spec when you start getting into these sizes.
