There are, but don't be seduced by the idea that if you have a schematic for a high power amp, it's easy to build. A power amp is primarily a big honking power supply, big heat sinks, and a sturdy chassis designed for the heat sinks and weight of the power supply. The actual power amp is very nearly an insignificant wart on the rest of it, in terms of both cost and difficulty. If you had a completely built set of power amp boards, building the rest of the power amp to house them in would be almost as difficult as starting from zero.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

This type of questions about amps occurs frequently. How many times have you written this sentence?

You should write a article about the "the technology of an guitar amplifier"  ::)

+1  Having been around this forum for a while now, and thanks to the insights from R.G. and others, I now think of an amplifier as nothing more than an audio-modulated power supply.
