First post here!

I have a Carl Martin Octaswitch 2, for those of you who don't know about it its a loop-pedal with 8 send/returns for effects and 2 jack for external switching for amp-channels.
there are 8 "banks" where you choose witch effect-lopps are "on/off" with dip-switches. And for the amp-channel-switching you use dip-switches in a similar way. see below.

My Idea is to use these external switching jacks to control a external loop pedal. using a TQ2-L-5V relay. ( datasheet: http://pewa.panasonic.com/assets/pcsd/catalog/tq-catalog.pdf )

This is my atempt to illustrate this.

I have figured out that when a cable is connected to the jack of one the switching jacks and dipswitch is set to "on" the tip of the cable is connectedd to ground. So I want to use this ground-signal to set the relay to a powered state and route the signal to the sen/return jacks in the in the external loop-pedal. If anybody can draw a schematic of this would be very grateful!
