Unfortuntely i can down load spice to my pc or mac it just wont have it probably because of my aged operating system.
I do have icircuit on the ipad so i might see if i can sim the filter later tonight with that.
So I've had a long night playing with the bread board.
I was playing with the idea of using a vactrol instead just for fun until i can do something about the fet as a variable resistor.
I discovered that if i put 2m of resistance between the lfo out and NSL32 then i was getting resistances up in the 10m plus range
so i did some more tests and was still getting very high resistance on the nsl32 with varying the series resistor between it and the lfo out.

I had a look at the lightwah (dead Astronaught) design and noticed he uses a bjt between the lfo out and vactrol.
heres what i did in a bid to reduce the high resistances i was getting on the vactrol out.

lfo out to 2n5088 base, (collector to +9v) , emitter>10k series to NSL32 Led+ (NSL32 Led - neg to 10k series to ground)
2n2 in parrallel across the NSL32 led

I tried various caps from 47uf, 10uf, 1uf polarised caps. The charge time made the variance in resistance way to long to be useful IMO for a wah.
I havent tried 2n5088 collector to Vb yet but i might just for giggles.

Next I tried a 2N2 cap it was much faster ( I may still need to tweek this, If this is the way I decide to go.)
But the big bonus of this is now the resistance on the NSL32 out put is down to between 8.5k and 20k

I learn something tonight.
Its midnight now and its been a long day already.
Time for a hot coffee with lots of sugar, A cigarette and a quick attempt at siming the filter.

I forgot to ask what sort of signal do I send to the filter input to simulate a guitar signal please.
Frequancy , amplitude?

Ive managed to couple the lfo with the filter and to be honest although it wahs its more like a trem wah not bad if thats what you intended.
I think i'll quit while i'm ahead. Go back to the drawing board with some lessons learnt
