GGG Red Llama clone loud volume issue

Hey everyone, first time poster here. I recently built a GGG Red Llama kit and love the tone but the volume is super touchy. With the gain at 9:00, unity volume is around 8:30-8:45. Is this normal for the GGG WHRL kit?
