Order for Transistors in Big Muff

I am building a Big Muff Pi, and was wondering:  in what order do you put the transistors?  Lowest to highest Hfe?  Highest to lowest?  Whatever sounds best?  I am using some 2n5133s that are between 350 and 450  Hfe.

I don't think it makes a whole pile of difference, unless the h_FE is particularly low.  Check out the discussion at Kit Rae's Big Muff site ("Is There Mojo in Vintage Components?" section).  Use sockets and audition them!

I never built one, but I read often that is the good method.
