I'm having a hard time visualizing exactly what this subcircuit does.  Some kind of resonance peak, or notch filter?

The transistor is set up as a buffer.  The .015uF cap and 1k + 10k work out to 9.6kHz.  The 47k resistor biases the transistor, and .0015uF blocks DC (I guess).  How does it all work together along with that 3.3k resistor in the FB loop?

OR- if this arrangement has a name, I'll just google it.

Thanks,
CHAD
