boss ce-3 problem, please help!

 I just picked up a boss ce3 chorus that I have been searching for for a while and when it got here I was bummed to find that it passes a very quiet signal, both on and off. Any suggestions would be great.

Follow the Debugging Page link at the top - in particular use an audio probe to find out where the signal dies down.

Luckily it IS passing a signal, so you have the chance to go in and find where it happens   Gives you something to work with!

Thanks guys,  that probe worked like magic! Bad electrolytic cap at c3. Put in a new film cap there ( and 5 others, since I was already in there!) and it is better than new! Great forum!! Thanks again!!
