So I am trying to wire a either 3dpt or a dpdt which ever one I will need.  Into this voltage sag/cut pedal.  I am just not sure where to start, with adding it in. Would love it to have an led for on. Also if any one could help even a simple hand drawn would help.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm not able to post a sketch at this time so will try to describe the wiring. Do you know how to wire a 3pdt true bypass switch? If not there are lots of resources for this. You will need this knowledge to understand my comments below.

I take it you want to switch between full power and reduced power set by the pot. In that case think of the power in jack as the audio in jack, the power out jack as the audio output jack and the pot in and out as the circuit board in and out. The led is wired as per the typical bypass switching. Hope this helps.

also welcome. I wanted to post in this thread to say it is the best title I've read this month. also, here is a circuit:

and for those who don't like the colours ....

if you were to shift the led switch common to the pot wiper, the led brightness will vary with sag. chose CLR to suit wanted led brights.

Hey thanks that helps a ton. just didn't want to electrocute myself you know...lol.  but seriously...

Gonna wire it up on Friday.  Will post a demo once I get it working thanks again guys.

Go with Duck Arse's scheme. It is simpler than my explaination.

Duck Arse. Congrats on 3300 posts!

further thinking and overcomplicating produces the following, a sag that won't droop under load, with the added utillity of a full-time, proper, clean 9V output, and some led options. note the 12DC input voltage, not 9V.

and, for for the colour adverse.

please note that I have tested not one jot of either these circuits. check your datasheets for the pinouts, working formulae and values.

peter - what, did I miss the numbers going over? thanks, anyway.

For metel and homebuckers use two bateries for 18 volts in.

That's a bit more then what I  was going for ...lol.  but hey if it works hope this helps someone else out.  I have the basic circut up.  As to not bust anyones power supply you can only turn down to "whatever" volts using different resistors
2.2k   1.8 volts
or can get the resistor to
4.7k   3.1 volts
10k   4.9 volts
15k   5.8 volts

Or something like that I think

Lol sag without droop.  Why not just call it the "sag sack"...lol.  awsm by the way.  Anyone feel free to take that name...I won't be using that as the name...lol...sag sack.
