Hi,

I'm currently building a case full of effects and some of my circuits needs 9v+, 9v- and Gnd power connections, others just need 9v+ and Gnd.

My connections for this would be a 2.1mm DC plug and many 9v+ and Gnd lines will connect directly to the circuit boards.
As for the 9v+, 9v- and Gnd, I will use a Max1044 chip to give me that. Right now I have 2 boards that would need that. Is it possible to just use 1 chip for these 2 boards? or should I make individual ones for each board?

Any advice on this way of building my internal power supply distributor? Is it fine?

thanks!

It all boild down to your board's total power consumption, i.e whether your charge pumps negative output can sink enough current for 2 boards.
