After Germanium preamp / boost schematics or veros? What are my options?

Hi All

Have being doing a search around and really struggling to come up with any sort of decent germanium preamp or boost circuits to have a crack at building.  Are there many options?  Seems to be a lot of fuzz or Rangemaster veros which has been great, just looking for some other novel options.

People really only want Ge transistors because of their Rangemaster/"fuzz" tone. When they're not in saturation, they don't exhibit much in the way of "germanium" qualities, right?
