Hello all,
I just finished the breadboard of this circuit and it works great, a little less volume than I'd like, but it works. I just tried to swap out the 2K2 resistor for a 1K pot with a 1k resistor in series and it's not having any effect. It seems like the noise changes tone but the fuzz level doesn't change. It's wired up so the resistor goes into lug 1 on the pot and lug 2 goes to ground. Anyone know what the problem might be? I just want to get this sorted out so I can start messing with a tone circuit and wire it to a foot switch.
Thanks.

Try replacing the 2K2 with just the 1K pot, lug 3 to Q2E, lug 1 to ground, and pos lead of 10uF cap to lug 2. I'm assuming the 100k is connected to Q1B and Q2E?
