Stereo "Add-on" Circuit

I don't mean to clutter up this board with my questions, I just want to ask this one real quick.  I asked about stereo effects a while back and I came across this today:

Can you wire this up after, say, a delay pedal, and make a crude stereo output for said delay circuit?  (Or reverb, chorus, phaser...dirt if you wanted, I suppose)

Or am I misinterpreting what this circuit does?

Other than turning one signal into two identicals, there's nothin my stereo about it.   Put it before the delay, that is, one channel of the splitte goes they the delay, and one does not - that gives you a fun stereo.  But after the delay will give you two identical signals.  

There are some stereo "simulators" I've wanted to try, that EQ some frequencies, send some left and the others right.   But simply put one output of this splitter before the delay, take the other split "dry", and put those into two amps.  Same with a phaser, or whatnot.   Is that all you're looking to do?

I'm not really sure what I'm looking to do, to be honest...I guess I don't understand stereo outputs on any guitar pedal, because I always just thought it was giving you the option to run the effect in stereo by sending the signal to two amps.

The same signal, but sent to two amps EQ'd a bit differently, would give a stereo effect, right?  I guess true stereo would be two different signals?

I'm thinking it would be cool to run a delay effect with two outputs into two different amps, just because your dirt pedals before the delay will sound different in two different amps. 

So like I said, I'm not really sure what I'm trying to do...just exploring ideas I suppose!

What your doing is worth doing, IMO, and is pretty common when using more than one amp. You're basically looking for the Y part of an ABY box, but there is an easier way. Check out the first half of ROG splitter blend, U1A and B.

You can tack that on to the end of a circuit, or put it in it's own box to play around with.

You will run into trouble if your amps are out of phase. You could include geofex's phase inverter, which happens to be part of the ROG schematic, but in the blending part.

I actually built just the phase switch portion of the ROG splitter-blend circuit a couple of weeks ago that worked really well...I didn't even think about using the splitter portion of the circuit.  Thanks for the suggestion!
