I know this is an old thread, but I was trying to find the original layout, point to point tag board style. so far I can only find the Vero version. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be greatly appreciative:)

There are three versions.  They are very similar, slightly different voicings.

I reversed two of these back in 2003 and Jack Orman did the third one.

Without going through the small details it's a Boss OD1 circuit with a few tweaks:

- 1st stage; 4k7 to vdd/s is replaced with a 25k pot + series 1k;
  one version has 100n caps instead of 47n
- the second stage has a gain of 2 not 1
- the second stage filter cut-off is pushed up to 3.3kHz or 6.6kHz depending on the version
- after the second stage is a slight amount of high pass filtering on the level control.
