Wah Pedal Enclosure Questions

Hi!

I'm in the middle of my first build. I'm building a Uni-Vibe clone and I am thinking about either making an expression pedal for it or just make the whole pedal in a Wah Pedal enclosure. I have some questions surrounding these enclosures.

Where can I get good Wah Enclosures cheap in Europe? I can find cheap components on Ebay but this enclosure is hard to find.

Also, how difficult is it to build a Wah? Will the quality be good enough to justify the costs of a Red Fasel etc?

Where can I get good Wah Enclosures cheap in Europe?

I regret...I can't ship these to Europe at reasonable cost; they are just too heavy. You might fish at repair shops or independent music shops for a dead Wah, or maybe you can find one on sale at a chain.

Also, how difficult is it to build a Wah? Will the quality be good enough to justify the costs...?

Once you have the chassis, it's not, and the ability to tweak the palette to your liking is priceless.

As Smallbear says get a broken one.

I usually buy all my wha enclosures from e-bay go to effects pedals / for parts not working and you can pick one up for around £12 to £20.

I'm assuming you're in the UK but if not just search your e-bay and you should get one at a reasonable cost watch out for the postage costs though they can vary widely.

Search out Joe Gagan, he's come up with some deals for European's searching out wah shells in the past.

Two years old so not sure what has changed since then but talks about the shipping issues here.
