fairchild or TI rc4558p ?

can anyone help me to identify that ? i got 2 rc4558p chips here, one with serial 2cc214m,the other is 31c89xm. the logo looks like this one, thanks everyone

Isn't RC Raytheon?  On the other hand, there's that teensy weensy map of Texas.

RC is a fairly common TI prefix. It's been a long time since I've seen any chips from Raytheon..... do they have anything special to be on the lookout for?

The Fairchild part is KA4558.

Yep, that looks just like the Texas Instruments RC4558P ICs that I have laying around

It's said that the TI RC4558P was the one that was used in the TS808.

Well, the Malaysian made chips are what were specifically in the TS808's. That is definitely a TI chip. I have about half a dozen exactly the same.

It is my personal favorite in a Tubescreamer.

Actually, I'm pretty much at home with any of those, and if you need any questions answered there, I can probably do it or find you the info you need.

But the forum is pretty much entirely focused on how to build pedals and how the work, not on being an advertising medium.

So  - again - what else in the way of help to people learning to build pedals other than just advertising chips for sale do you have? Or is selling your wares all you have for the forum?

I have been thinking about build a custom TS808 type pedal with integrated PT2399 based processing. Thoughts?
