Boss DS1 Gain Mod Problem

Hello,

I have a question regarding my Boss DS1 Pedal.

Just finished the Marshall Mod http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/boss-ds-1-mods-1?page=2 on my Boss DS1 but I'm not realy happy how the gain Pot works.

I have also Changed R13 + C8 as stated on the page but now the gain is just as before the mod until I turn the Gain pot full clockwise then a massive amount of gain kicks in.

Are there any possibilitys to make this last gain increase more useable?
