I'm looking for a noob-friendly schematic for a true bypass looper pedal (1 loop) with a mute switch. Preferably I want the mute switch to work both when the loop is on and off.

Basically I need both a looper and a muter and I figure it's easier to combine the 2 in a single pedal! Finally, I want to include an LED (powered by battery) to indicate when the loop is engaged. I have a couple of single loop looper pedals which I will be using for reference if I get confused. I'm a complete noob to this so any help is appreciated! I think I have all the components I need, but need help finding an idiot-proof schematic. Thanks! (Sorry if this has already been posted, please link me!)

Oh, I'll be using two 3pdt switches as that's what I have to hand.

Search beavis audio IIRC they have a true bypass looper schematic then you will probably want a momentary footswitch to send the guitars signal to ground as a killswitch.
This might no be ideal though depending on the pedals that you have in the loop.
Maybe the guys here will have some better ideas too.

Thanks for that. I found this thread with a potential layout: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=104567.0

But not sure if the killswitch is only for the loop? Here's the diagram. Any comments appreciated

The pedal chain will be passive bass> tuner> octaver> looper/killswitch> amp (delay>reverb in the loop). Its for a bass rig with a split signal

Also, would a latching switch be appropriate instead of a momentary switch for the killswitch? I want press it and leave it rather than have to keep my foot on it

Yeah latching would be fine - I think that would be referred to more accurately as a mute in this situation. A kill switch implies you want that 'stutter effect' kinda thing. :)

Ah great, thank you! As you can tell I'm a total novice! Any thoughts on whether the layout in the picture linked above would be sufficient? I can't tell if the mute switch is just for the loop.
