Volume pot / treble bleed - pedal?

I noticed today with a RAT pedal that when the volume control on the pedal was turned below a certain point there was a lack of excitement.
The best I could describe this is to say that it was very much like when a guitar without a treble bleed circuit has teh volume pot turned down.  Is there a similar solution to this in a pedal as the treble bleed circuit added to guitar volume pots?

You can use the same circuit as the treble bleed on a guitar pot. The trick is finding the right value cap as to just offset the difference the volume pot creates and not to overly hype the high frequencies.

The other thing to be aware of is Fletcher-Munson affect. Our perception of frequency response changes with volume.
You've got to love obsolete technology.....

Not to mention downstream overdrive!  I've never really noticed this issue on my Rat, but the V pot is after the buffer, so could interact with cable capacitance some.  What happens if you move it to the other side of the buffer?  Or connect the rat to another buffered pedal via a shorter cable.
