replace tube screamer 20KW tone pot with 10KΩ + 10KC instead

it seems that there's a lot of complaint that people only use the extreme CW rotation of the tube screamer tone control and don't really go below 12 o'clock.

20KW is trickier for most people to get hold of. since the CW half rotation of these pots looks like a 10KC to me, could use one of them in series with a 10K resistor to improve the sweep range.

any comments feedback on this?

the TS tone control is a bit awkward as it is, i think.

I can't see why why that wouldn't work, the clockwise half of a W pot is log though so I think you want a log pot.

W-taper pots are not so difficult to find anymore.

i tried this yesterday. PERFECT!

i suppose C tapers are a bit trickier too, so you could use a 10KA wired backwards.
