Scrambler Volume

Hey guys, when I recently built my Scrambler I added in a volume control at the end of the circuit.  I used a 100K pot to ground.  Is there any way I could get the volume level any higher?  Would using a higher value pot increase output.  What is the best way to add a volume control to a project like this?
