ibanez cs-9 problem

  pulled out my old ibanez cs-9( ster. chorus)  switch turns on and off led light, only passes clean signal when both light on and off no effect just clean passing sound . what gives, bad switch does the same with both plug and battery  HELP AN OLE COUNTRY BOY OUT i need to play a love song for my lady!!!
