A customer asked what to use for the pickups and transformer in this thing:

The speaker looks like an ordinary PM, and I figure that a 1K to 8 ohm transformer will work to match to an amp input.

For the piezo device, this?:

or is there something cheaper that would be suitable? Anyone built one of these and have a suggestion for a good piezo device to stock?

Something that's an inch or more in diameter is good.  Larger piezo discs have a lower resonance (good for foot stomping) and put out a heftier voltage.
