dm-2 calibration?

So I picked up an old dm-2 for pretty cheap, I wondered why the price was low but I figured what the hell. Then when I played it I realized something was off, so I popped it open and realized someone monkey'd around with the trimmers. Clock and bias are both out of wack, I tryed to adjust it by ear but its pretty difficult. I don't have an oscilloscope to hook it up to so I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get it sounding right. I'm not worried about extended delay time, just wana get it sounding good.

It's a little bit of an involved process but that's the best description I've read outside of the service manual:

Here's the inside of mine. I think they used different chips at different times, so I'm not sure if this'll work for you. It can't hurt to use this as a jumping off point, especially if it's the same chip. I accept no responsibility ;)

P.S. I might have monkeyed around with mine a bit when I first got it a few years back, but currently it sounds good.

Thanks guys, been messing around with it, getting pretty close but still not quite on point. Guess I'm just gona have to just bite the bullet and get a scope!
