First Pedal Success!

Ive been at this for a minute, and due to being a complete newbie, no understanding of electronics, shitty parts and soldering iron etc, but just got first pedal to work. Im not totally done, i built a devi ever hyperion, i didnt realize there was a hyperion 2 and all you gotta do is add a 3rd 100k linear pot to ground. So ive unsoldered the 2 perf mounted pots and gonna box it up tonight. I put a clip up on youtube. Have a listen and tell me what you think.....Vol and Pregain are both  pretty much maxed out didnt do a lot of messing w knobs cus i didnt have time. Its ran through my breadboard and connected to a 20$ honeytone amp, and using a cheap ass ltd ec10. Anyway i was thinking wow, i need to head to guitar center and test this thig out on a tube amp, i was pretty blown away.

The first one works (hey - that was easy and - wow so cheap) and suddenly you'll find yourself buying a new soldering iron, place huge orders at Tayda (and subsequently find yourself paying again at the customs office) and sitting at your messy soldering desk all day and night.

That'll be FUN!

Check out seller Thaishine on ebay, think he dropships from tayda or something cus the few things i ordered had tayda card in package, but hes got lotta good stuff, 2 16mm alpha pots any style $2.99 free shipping, i always have recieved stuff in 3 days. Just need some more enclosures

That was the plan, but i ran into some trouble. The layout i used had the ground coming half way along the top row, so before i began the build i thought ok ill just trim off the excess and the pots will be flush and itll mount perfect, but that wasnt the case with that stupid ground coming up halfway across the top. So in the process of desoldering the pots everything went to shit, i used the tinned wire from small bear to run my traces and solder started flowing all over the place. Anyway, i still have trouble with schematics, i can make sense of them by lookig at them but not there yet as far as just looking at schematic and just being able to visualize the layout. Anyway i found another perfboard layout, but idk if its verified, the google image search for the site it came from was in chinese or japenese. Can someone look at this and let me know if it looks ok? I guess it doesnt matter as im almost done. Forgot Devi Ever uses Tantalum caps, so it was a bitch squeezing the big green film caps and sockets and everything in like 11x8 or 9 rows of pad per hole. I really loved the sound of the hyperion so im hoping it works when i finish it up tommorow. Anyway here is a pic of the layout, and pic of my progress so far. Ive got some solder pots and right angle pots on the way, as of now its either the tiny little pcb mount ones or gargantuone radioshack 24mm knows.
