Modify analog tremolo to receive tempo

Hey guys. I built a completely analog transistor based 2 knob tremolo awhile back. I play a lot of specific time based music with my band and wanted to see if I could mod my pedal somehow to accept external tap.

I've been researching this and either I'm missing something or its completely gonna be over my head. Could I (in theory) modify my rate knob with a jack that would accept a tap tempo? It would probably have to be some form of digital, continuous signal, such as from an FLO? Or could I use the digital signal from one of my delays?

Perhaps this should've gone in the digital forum....

I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Is this what your want:

?

Then you'll find anything you need (and, most unfortunate for you, for a completely new tap tremolo build as Larry suggests) in the thread.

There are some Tap Tremolo Kits out there (MusicPCB, Musikding, Uk-Electronic and certainly more) or some layouts (I am going to force my 1590a PCB on you again) like this one: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=111220.msg1022061#msg1022061

I guess you could do some measurements with your speed pot and jerry-rig something with a digital pot but... I will surely be more work/time than to built a new tap tremolo and (if your band syncs to midi clock like mine) the tiktaktap.

Good luck!
