I'm new to building  this is the first time I've encountered a double link I see where it supposed to go but I don't see what supposed to go in it I know there's supposed to be two leads but I don't know what two

Get two pieces of resistor lead. Connect one from the bottom of the black line to where the link is, and one longer one from the link to the top of the black line. Solder the link last because you'll need to fit two bits of resistor in there.

THANK YOU!! Now it finally makes sense to me haha.  I really appreciate that because I see sometimes to keep the size of the board down its useful

My first couple builds now.  I've also done a blue collar overdrive.  It's so addictive lol

Typically I wouldn't have mixed carbon with metal film but all of my 1k metal film hadn't shown up yet, same with the 10k on the eternity boost.  :icon_redface: The joys of first starting out and being limited by what little stock you have

Ehh caring about parts is for nerds anyway! If it sounds good it sounds good eh.

(not that I'm an authority I don't know anything about electronics)

It looks cooler with both resistors, like some of them have a special purpose. I've got half a clipper ship built and since the germanium transistor is from smallbear they sent a few carbon resistors to bias it properly.

Your builds seem nice and clean, I look forward to seeing what else you make.

Thanks for that info about the carbon resistors used on that particular circuit for  biasing.  I'm going to read up on that so I know when it may be useful for me to do.  Also thanks for the words of encouragement, it's really nice to have people like you in the forum
