Hey gang,

I built this MXR noise gate:

And it works!  I didn't have the right 5.1v diode and it didn't work without the right diode, but it fired right up when I got the right diode in.  (Had to order a couple from Tayda)

It works like it's supposed to, but I've read that the mods can really fine tune the gate and make it pretty good.  The problem is, I can't find the mods anywhere other than the tonepad layout:

It's been a while since I studied schematics and I'm just having a hard time locating which resistors to replace with pots on the layout I used.  I engraved the PCB on the CNC machine, but I believe the perf and PCB layout are more or less identical.  Could you guys help me out on this?  It would be very much appreciated!

What mods are you looking for?

If I remember rightly, this layout has them already in.  The original tonepad  pcb has a few issues like a massive volume drop which the mods rectify.

Do you have a volume drop when the pedal is on?

To the extreme, I rock a mic like a vandal.
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle.

Oh...duh, should have mentioned what mods I'm looking to add!  I don't have any volume drop, everything seems just fine.  I'm looking to at the attack and release mods to fine tune the gate a little bit.  Looks like I just need to replace a couple of resistors with pots, but I'm just having a hard time figuring out which resistors to replace!
