Controlling modulation speed on Line 6 MM4 with midi clock

Hello to all.

I'm new to building and modding pedals...new to electronics really.

I have built and modded some simple signal routing pedals and amp switches...but that's pretty much it.

I'm interested in learning how I would control the speed pot on my Line 6 MM4 modulation pedal with midi clock.

I'm assuming this would be done by intercepting / overriding or otherwise effecting the MM4 speed pot resistance value...perhaps with Arduino?

It looks like Molten Voltage might make a box or chip that can do this but I don't understand yet how to implement or even use there products.

Anyone willing to help stear a noob? I'm not at all afraid to roll up my sleeves and experiment and I'm a pretty quick study.
