Hello,
This is my first go at using software like this and also trying to organize a vero layout so was just wondering if there are any glaring mistakes anyone can see or if there's some convention i should be using? It's basically just this http://diy.suregork.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Axis_face_vero.jpg
but with a spdt switch and 500k pot connecting the base of Q1 and collector of Q2 through a 22pf cap. I think i might just use the existing vero layout for peace of mind but i'm curious to see if mine is passable.
By the way i know D1 is the wrong orientation but i can't work out how to flip it on DIYLC. Also collector of Q2 is going through a 10k bias pot and then a 2k2 resistor to +9v, the resistor is tiny but it's there!
Thanks!

I'll go. first off - edit the image, cut all the whitespace out. if it is STILL too large to fit on my screen without scrolling, RESIZE!

the layout. your Q2 bottom leg seems to be sitting nicely between two cuts, waiting, waiting. straighten-up C3, you have plenty of room, no one likes seeing slanty parts. R4 - right click it, and edit the length [from memory], at some point, it will convert itself to a standing, or hair-pinned resistor. D1 - you should be able to select it, then click and drag one leg-end around 180o. it will then be in the wrong place, but the right facing. (or right-click it, and select rotate 180.)

if you can at all avoid stretching the legs of a radial cap (C6), do so. put the cap so it spans 3 holes, then cut to isolate and link the end back to where it went to start with.

if you put your track-cuts under the resistor bodies where you can, you can save yourself some left-to-right space; when doing larger layouts, this will count.

[edit :] oh, and it's much better to add the switch and the pot and the cap to the drawing, so's we don't need to use our imaginations so much. it will also help fill the mt space.

Cool thanks very much for the reply, all top tips! I'll have a go at editing it at some point before verifying.
Thanks again!
