Hi guys i have recently come across some cd4017be chips and a cd4094. Could i use these for anything??

The CD4017 (with any suffix) is a decade counter / divider.  It might be useful for a programmer or a rhythm machine.

The CD4094 is a serial-input 8-bit parallel output shift register with tri-state outputs.  It may be useful for serial-to-parallel conversion or some MIDI function.
