Hello. I want to build a clone from this layout

http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2012/02/mad-professor-deep-blue-delay.html

Ive seen people build this with a rate LED. Since it uses a PT2399, is there a way to add a rate led to the "Delay with mods" diagram.

Thanks for any help

The ones you've seen with a Rate LED probably use the Taptation controller chip for the PT2399:

This gives you modulation, rate LED, tap tempo and whatever else.

Ok I see. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to spend the 20 bucks for the taptation but that's what ill have to do. thanks for the info

I did say "probably". I'm not sure. But it does seem likely. Adding a rate LED to the PT2399 isn't simple.

I found a rate circuit. its bigger than the actual delay circuit.... Ill just leave it stock and add tap later maybe to get the rate LED
