Just found some 3PDT switches in my old junkbox. They are slightly different than the ones I normally use. Facing the bottom of the switch , left and right side is a bit wider than the up-and-down sides if you know what I mean. I would imagine it will hook up the same no matter which way I turn it . Any ideas? If I didn't explain it good enough you can refer to my primitive drawing below. Thanks for any help. Dave

The way you've drawn it, you have three SPDT switches side-by-side (i.e. in columns).

Of course, you could use your DMM to verify!   :)

Well that was a quick primitive drawing, it's your typical blue body switch with the lugs epoxied into the blue tic-tac-toe pattern of the body. Once again I think I need some sleep.  On closer inspection the difference maybe that my new switches are square bodied , the old switches are maybe a millimeter wider but the edges are rounded , that could be my millimeter right there. I'm sure they are 3PDT, unfortunately the old meter is on the blink , time for a new one.

Just wired it and it's working.  Apparently as long as the holes are up and down on the lugs that's the correct way.  Then again it may work the other way... I don't know. Good deal because I hate trying to desolder these switches! Dave

This may make it clearer:

The switch in the diagram is the same orientation as your "quick primitive" (but accurate) drawing.

Thanks a bunch for that illustration, that really makes things more clear . I'll make sure to keep a copy of that for future reference. Yeah I just thought that since the switches I have looked a bit different they may actually be wired different on the inside . Like I said they're working fine. Thanks again for your help. Dave
