I've tried to build the project as per the instructions, but I don't get any sound, except a faint buzzing whenever I touch the strings on my guitar (grounding issue?).

The changes I made to the original was:
In the feed back loop, I used two .1uf in series to replicate C2 (0.047uf in schematic)
Similarly, I replaced C5 (.001uf) with two 222pf capacitors in series

My voltages are:
Battery terminals: 9.56
Power rails: 9.43
Va: 9.31
Vb: 4.63
Pin1: 0
Pin2: 4
Pin3: 3.16
Pin4: 0
Pin5: 0
Pin6: 4.7
Pin7: 9.38
Pin8: 0

On my breadboard I tried with and without the volume knob, no difference.
Also ignore the diodes, they were for if it worked.
Finally, ik that the power isn't plugged in in some photos, but it still doesn't work plugged in.

Cheers in advance. [emoji5]

welcome to the forum, Moardant, and you might have more success if you shift the output cap (I think it is) from pin 5 of the IC, to pin 6 of the IC. [row 35 to row 34.] that's if my eyes don't deceive me. your voltages look to be correct.

Thank You! Shifting the capacitor, plus fixing a few dodgy connections to the potentiometers ensured that the pedal now works.
