I've kept this a secret for a long time but I figured I'd just share it with y'all. Hopefully this will help someone with pedal board ideas if they are thinking about making one.

Glad you guys liked it. I failed to mention that it also has a built in voltage regulator that is set for 9.5V, which is what a new alkaline 9V battery usually measures.

Part of the challenge of making an ergonomic and usable pedalboard is being able to access pedal-switching on the fly.  Many folks will opts for a loop-selector, to route everything to the front, which can make a lot of sense in some applications.  On the other hand, it can involve a lot of excess audio cabling and concerns about signal quality.  But if one has a bunch of e-switched pedals that simply use soft-touch momentary SPST switches, it can be a rather simple matter to leave the pedals with the shortest possible interconnecting cables, and run a cable for remote switching to a row of soft-touch switches at the front of the pedalboard.

It's not that hard, either, to make a loop-selector unit that contains a couple of 3PDT switches  with ins and out, for where you absolutely need it, and a couple of non-dedicated soft-touch SPST stomp switches for where they can be used.  All the control comes to the front, and the pedals can be situated wherever they fit best, not where you can reach them the easiest.

But, all of that said, I do like the pedalboard, Paul, and the manner in which it is configured for the user, not just for the carrier.  Also, the color scheme is handy for being able to surprise-gig on the Russian front.  Wolverines!

Funny thing about that material.... I originally wanted to use a desert storm camo pattern on it but the surplus store didn't have it anymore so I settled on the winter camo instead. Don't know exactly why I wanted to do camo but that's where my head was at at the time.

I used to work on a street that was the same street where the Canadian Department of National Defense is currently situated.  Enlisted personnel are issued two uniforms, from what I understand, formal dress, and camo uniform.  So the downtown area is crawling with guys and gals in camo.  Our older son visited a buddy in a town north of here that is both adjacent to a major military base, AND in deer-hunter territory.  He told me he went to a truck stop for a coffee there, and was the only person in the joint NOT in camo.

Not really tough enough to be put on a plane but it for sure would be torn apart at the airport when they try to find the non-existent bomb
