Hi all.... Curious about R11 in the docs for the aion titan is listed as 100R (it's on both the schematic, and the parts list this way)....

Is this 100K or 100ohm or something else that I've not heard of before?   It's the only resistor listed this way..

Thanks in advance

People only tend to use it for values under 1K.  I don't really know who started it, it's kind of silly to me.  There's no Omega on common (non-Greek) keyboards, and for some reason some people aren't comfortable with just a number.

R is used so that, using the same notation system, you could conveniently write 1R5 for a 1.5-ohm resistor.  The R is also, like the letters K and M, larger than a decimal point, which helps avoid confusion when looking at low quality reproductions of schematics.

the R is sometimes replaced by "E".  who knows why.

It started from a (quite drunk) Netherland guy but my noble ancestry condons me to say no more...  :icon_redface:
"I'm getting older while being taught all the time" Solon the Athenian..
"I don't mind  being taught all the time but I do mind a lot getting old" Antonis the Thessalonian..
