Looking to get an extra 3220 holer.
Any Uk based forumites know a good source of cheaper breadboards.
Having had a look It looks like they've doubled in price since I bought my last one. (10£ sterling IIRC).
When did that happen?

I dont mind buying abroad.
I'm jiggered if I'm paying £22.
Thanks
Rich

Are you wanting one on a baseboard with power jacks.
Basic blocks don't seem too pricey.

I have to ask, is the baseboard and binding posts that necessary?
This looks like 2 of the first linked on a base...

From what I've seen, £22 quid would be good for that size.

Not quite as large as you are wanting but these ones are quite handy and cheaper at £15.99 I don't usually suggest Maplins but I do like the layout of these breadboards. I have a couple myself which I have also mounted a jacks and bypass switch pcb in the top right corner.

The only 3220 I could find were on ebay at £21

I stuck several 830ies together and soldered the +/- strips together on the backside. Not the most elegant solution, but quite cheap (under 6 € per strip). Always able to stick another to it if I need e.g. Vb or something.

Big C (conrad) has one on the other end of the scale: with an already connected switchable power supply. But it's quite a lot of dough. I didn't buy it.

I bought that one when I was on vacation in London a couple of months ago. I am pretty happy with it. It's easy just to connect the Four alligatorclips on my true bypass test thing to the terminals.

Its also Big enough to have more than one circuit on it.

Rich, I understand that you've been getting frustrated with your breadboard lately....  Did you happen to vent your frustration by destroying the board you were using?  :icon_eek:

Actually a 1660 holer would be fine.
Thanks guys.
I like the Maplins one Ice9.
I have a similar one to that but the connections are getting tenuous.
I'd like to replace it and have a spare big one too. Project seem to be getting more involved these days. Plus I have various snippets of circuits on small pcbs i can hook up to breadboard projects, eq's lfo's, etc.
Chips are having a hard time making connections now.
Maybe thats why I'm having frustrating breadboard days.
I don't think using the 9mm pots has helped.
Maybe it can be repaired no?

No Eric but the temptation to use it as a frisbee is sometimes overwhelming.
I have an new enveloped tremolo on it and its going well today.
Cheers guys.

I have that Maplin one. Rapid sell it too.
Not my favourite. The power strips are inconveniently at right angles.

Yeah the Maplin one is quite handy with the bottom space being quite good for 9mm or 16mm pots, complete tone stacks can be built in these areas making those types of changes easy.
A picture of one I have running at the moment, not a lot on it but it shows my in/out PSU and bypass PCB wired up and an of board header module connected. This pic also gives a better idea of size.
