Any pointers/ideas/product link re how to get a totally acoustic stompbox type setup?    That is:

- no plugs/leads/amps
- produces a bass and snare type sounds
- for non-professional use, so just with friends at parties
- ideally with one foot device that would do both sounds (e.g. heel=bass, toes=snare sound), but else two feet/pedal devices

so where do you put them in relation to your feet?  :icon_biggrin:

between them?

Actually I've seen people rig them up using kick drum pedals. You could also go bucket drummer style. Plastic suitcase + kick pedal = bass drum. 5 gallon bucket filled with gravel + kick pedal = snare.

thats the type of thing I'm looking for - had been trying to see if someone has already gone through the design/test/refine and I can just order it...haven't seen anything yet...  Not sure if you can get one pedal also that would have both a heel and toe output, but then it would be how to get these with their respective tappers (whatever the ends are called) so they'd hit the bass and snare part of a Cajón

I don't know of anything ready made.

The guy I saw had a cut up and welded together double kick pedal, with a soft beater for bass, and a plastic beater for snare.

Another idea would be to rig up a %^&*tail kit. The snare and bass portions are in the same drum. Again, it'd have to be DIY'd.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone over on drumforum.org had rigged up something like that. There's lotsa cool busking setups people use.

If it makes a sound when you hit it, some drummer somewhere has it attached to a kit. :icon_lol:

Doesn't matter what you did to get it... If it sounds good, then it is good!

perfect!  oh.. price is a little towards professional as opposed to just for fun... if there were a simpler (just needs bass/snare/high hat) less expensive version of this that would be great?
