if my pull down is 1M and input impedance resistor is also 1M versus no pull down and input impedance resistor 500k, which is less noise?

If you only listen with NOTHING connected, your question may matter.

Usually we have a SOMETHING connected. Guitar, pedal, microphone.... The impedance of that usually dominates the hiss. If it is under 100K, 50K, then a Meg or two hanging on, or not, does not matter.

(i.e. AC coupled output or the moment crossing the X axis..)

if you put them on the input and the output of each pedal then everything will be 0v
