680nF is also a good value for the input cap imho (if you use higher gain transistors). 1uF or 2.2uF is a bit much with modern humbuckers imho.

i don't use modern high gain humbuckers myself, but can see where that would be good to tighten it up a little. thanks for the tip bool!
