Connecting ground to aluminium enclosure

This is probably a well-discussed topic, but I did not find any solution quickly so I thought I should ask.

How do you connect ground to aluminium enclosure when you use plastic sockets etc? I have finally boxed my orange squeezer build yesterday to realize the enclosure is "suspended in the air". Tried soldering a wire to it and nothing seems to work - I tried rosin, glycerin, and rosin+alcohol fluxes. Just won't stick to the enclosure.

Any quick diy-friendly solutions?

There are some direct connections metal-to-metal - i.e. your pots. I recently had the same problem and the great guys here had several solutions.

Thanks. Some useful info there.

It's funny I never thought about grounding the enclosure through pots - for some reason I always thought one of the lugs is connected to the pot's cases and shafts. Most of them would not work if that was the case, obviously... now that I think about it!  :icon_lol:
