Odd Tonebender MKI switching sag problem

Hi, all.

Built this layout:

Sounds just lovely and snarling once I got the right transistors swapped in!

So the problem is that when I switch the effect on, there is a noteworthy sag before it comes on, much like it is "charging up" or something.
NEVER had this before in any of the dozens of builds i've done, and I did install an LED with a 3PDT switch which I usually don't do with PNP battery-driven pedals...

Any thoughts?

Are you by chance switching the power supply?  That would account for the lag. 

Or a cap is needing to charge somewhere, just like you think.  I would check the switching.   You can remove (pull a wire...) the LED from the equation to see if that has some effect.

I had this happen to me one time and it was a cap charging up, had nothing to do with the LED.  Led will just drain your battery from a current draw and has no affect on voltages or time constants since the LED network only contains a resistor , unless you did the amz anti pop mod?

does it work fine after kicking it on and off ?  if you can remember to kick your pedals on before jam you can live with it  or try replacing the electros and reflowing solder for any bridges
