There's a diode that has gone open probably from having too much power applied. There's no legible markings left to determine what it was but there's a 1N4xxx present on the circuit too. The diode in question is orange and I'm thinking it's a zener but not sure of the specs. Does anyone have anything to add please?
Thanks,
B.

If you're talking about TC's dual param. pedal, it has only 2 diodes 1x 1N4001 and 1x 1N4148
If you're talking about TC's dual param. rack unit it has BZX79-C15 15V zeners after 1N4001 bridge diodes.

The pedal is what I have. So, that's a 1N4148 right next to the 1N4001?
Thanks F3D!

Replacing a blown open signal diode doesn't usually fix the problem..  :icon_cool:

#4
more precisely:
the 4148 stops DC from going into 9V battery and 4001 is polarity reverse protection.
If only 4148 is blown, the pedal should work the same.
Check the 4001 also...
