Hey guys, I'm building a MIDI controller using an Arduino. I'd like to have 4 stomp switches ideally, but I could get away with 3. I've built a two-switch unit using a 1590a (code is here: https://github.com/exabrial/midi-stomper).

Anyway, I'm looking for a long (5"-8") x skinny (1.5"-2")^2 enclosure to house this. Any ideas? I've seen "true bypass pedalboard controllers" that are in a long skinny housing but haven't found an OEM for them.

Thanks for any help, greatly appreciated

How about a Hammond 1032L? It might not fit your size specifications perfectly, but it's pretty cheap if you buy it from a chinese manufacturer. Under $20 on AliExpress.

Edit: Only $12.75 on smallbear, so if you're in the US, that's probably the best place to buy it.

What about 2nd hand amp channel switches. Come in different sizes. Cheap and predrilled. I had this H&K one small with four dpdt switches.

I bought one of those from them a while back for a programmable looper project with a total of 5 switches and it was great.

Hammond 1590BX2 is 254x70mm.  That's 10" by 23/4".  I used one for this:

There are a number of modem housings available on the surplus market.  Some of them would be an exact fit for your needs.

Alternatively, check out local music stores and 2nd hand sources for an "orphan" footswitch housing from an amp.  These days, more and more of them have 4 and more stompswitch holes.  Yesterday, I adapted a 4-switch  Marshall unit to accommodate 6 SPST momentaries in a zig-zag pattern, each having a mini phonejack immediately behind it.  Not only is it the right size, but it's sloped-front.

You guys are great! So many good ideas here. Thank you!

I forgot about Loop Masters!! :icon_evil:

They have several blank enclosure sizes to choose from. I've ordered one from them, the quality is excellent.

Yea, the 1032L "Super Looper" is good. Still more:

Marshall-style Switch Box: http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/footswitch-boxes-drilled-and-undrilled/

The two-switch version would be wide enough and is available undrilled.

Auminum, as far as I know.
