Hi everyone,
I've been building pedals for a while now, but always from veroboard layouts or PCBs from diy sites. The only pedals I've actually built solely from a schematic would be the JHS mini boost and the EHX LPB1. I really want to learn the theory behind this stuff so when I look at a schematic I can go, "Oh a blah-blah gain stage with blah-blah tonestack", and be able to really design my own circuits.
What resources would you recommend for someone like me to learn more about audio electronics theory?
Still in the process of learning, so bear with me if I ask dumb questions :P

Here's a couple sources that might interest you:

1.  R.G.'s "Technology of the..." pages at geofex.com.
2. The Pedals section of Electrosmash.com

And if you want more thorough knowledge that isn't just stompbox related, I highly recommend reading as much as you can from Rod Elliott's site, beginning with the Articles section: http://sound.whsites.net/articles.htm

Horowitz and Hill's book "The Art of Electronics" is the classic for learning the basics of electronic components, circuit behavior, and design. You can get a used copy of an earlier edition pretty cheaply now. It is written in a non-technical, easy to understand style, but will take you as deep as you care to go.

I vote for "Small Signal Audio Design" by Douglas Self.  Very readable.

Check out EEVblog on YouTube as well.  Very entertaining.  His treatment of opamps is sublime.

Texas Instruments has some pdfs on op amps that are worth checking out.
