Fuzz factory schematic question (for breadboard)

The question is regarding the stab pot on the schematic above.
If i'm breadboarding should this pot have all 3 lugs in the power rail (+line). lug 3 being closest to my voltage input wire?

From the back, the rightmost one goes in the rail, and also the middle one, then the last lug (1, from the back) becomes the "+" line, if that makes sense.   

The pot and its wiper (middle) are connected to "+", and the last lug does not connect to the power supply...it leads off to R2, the 10k resistor (the other power connections meet here, too). 

If you had that last lug also in the "+" line, the control wouldn't do anything.   The lug and wiper in the power rail form a variable resistor which will allow you to vary the current thru the resistor (and thus its voltage drop).

the stab pot is connected as a variable resistor, just solder a small wire between lug 2 and 3, and then 9+ to lug 3 and r2 to lug 1
