Hi there,

I've been a lurker for a while now, and have finally got myself together to make a post.

I've built a few pedals in the past, mostly distortion and overdrive builds, but have had a run lately of non-working builds, which I'm gonna slowly try and work through and get going. Aiming that through the process I might learn a thing of two!

The first one I want to sort is a Madbean Sunking V3 (also posted for help on the Madbean forum). So I've built it as per the build report, apart from subbing a TC1044 for IC3, but when I  tried to test it with a test rig built using the JMK PCB, I'm not getting any change to the guitar signal using the effect.

I first tested the board using the generated signal made by the test rig and got a clear oscillation signal from input to output, and the voltages on the IC's are close to the ones in the Sunking build report. So I thought it was ok. Then I plugged in a guitar to test, and while I get the guitar signal on both bypass and effect, I get no effected signal. The both sound exactly the same. I can't alter the vol, tone or gain when the effect is on.

Any advice on what to try to see where the fault maybe would be greatly appreciated.

Will post the build reports as soon as I work out how to attach files..... :icon_redface:

Cheers

Welcome.

Wiring error. No ground. Wrong switch wiring.

Some folks here are awful good about spotting errors from clear pictures of your build.

Yeah post some pics up it's hard to diagnose but check the power supply first make sure you are getting the right voltages to the circuit.
