for a normal average guitar effects pedal circuit, whats the safest minimum width?
previous boards ive made ,I never even adjusted the default 0.4064 width.
I understand the power section etc may need to stay thicker,

however i was curious of how thin I can go, and still be "safe"?
0.3?
0.2?

My board house has a minimum width of 0.006" so that's as small as I've gone but most typically I use 0.01" as my standard size for an SMD board.

For most pedal-work, it is only about how sloppy your masking and etching can be.

Using a Sharpie and old chloride, I never went narrow.

If you send it out to a real Board Fab, ridiculously narrow is now routine for cell-phones and such which have way more stuff than any pedal ought to. Read your fab's guidelines but don't push it.

Generally I use 10mil for signal stuff unless I need to be smaller to fit, then down to 8 or maybe 7.

Some op amp's technical documents have a suggested traces widht.
I've read 15mil somewhere, I am unable to tell you where exactly I read that, maybe NE5532, TL072, TLC2272 or OPA2134, those are the op amp I've worked with.
